Question / Help Laptop Black Screen with only Integrated Graphics Card

Hi. My laptop is a Toshiba C855-S5306, and its OS is Windows 8. Its graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 4000. And, I'm pretty sure that's my only graphics card, meaning it is my integrated and dedicated one. I still get the black screen when trying to record. Could I have some help?

It looks like you haven't added any capture sources to a scene yet. You need to specify where to capture the video from.

Create a scene by right-clicking in the 'scenes' column and 'add scene', then in the sources column right-click and choose a source to add (window capture, game capture, monitor capture). As you're on Win8, the easiest way would be to set up a Monitor Capture (which actually works well under W8, even if it SUCKS under Win7).

Awesome, I can see my monitor now! Do you happen to know why game capture isn't working? Also, if there is no way to fix that (and I know this is a total noob question), but would you happen to know how to window a steam game?

Please use code tags around your log pastes, it makes your post easier to read.

You can only use game capture for games running in fullscreen cmode. Monitor and window capture only work for games running in borderless/windowed mode. Games usually have an option for borderless/windowed mode in each individual game's video settings.
