Question / Help laggy gameplay when recording + webcam

intel core2duo e7500 @ 2.93ghz
4gb ram
500gb hdd
ati radeon hd 5670

its a really old low end pc but just bear with me lol.
im able run csgo on high settings smoothly.
im trying to record my csgo gameplay + video capture device but it lags so much it is unplayable.
any settings that could help?
will upgrading just the ram itself helps?
