Question / Help Lagging trying to record smite

Specs:
fx 6300
gtx 970
16gb Ram
ssd + hdd

I have tried maximizing my setting in OBS as well, with suggested setting and am currently trying to record the game in 720p. I never drop below 60, usually staying in between 80-120, depending on the game mode. Once i start recording though i hit 40-60 which is unplayable for me. Is by build to bad to record a basic game like smite, or is the something i can do to help with my frame?

I also have set the bit rate to 2500 and 3500

Scene buffering back to 700ms, set custom buffer to 0 and preset to superfast, next make sure your CPUs cores are not parking. google search for "unpark cores". Lastly, lower your webcam to no more than your recording resolution. 720p would be fine.
