Question / Help Lagging stream, trying to find settings.

Hello there,

Game I tried streaming is WoW.

I decided to stream for the first time recently and it's been giving me a lot of troubles to set it up. Few friends of mine managed to help me out with certain stuff, although, I still have some issues related to lagging (on stream).

My FPS in game is totally fine, I have no issues playing, stream on the other hand is laggy (I think it's quality issue).

I'm completely clueless when it comes to settings things up, I already tried running suggested settings from OBS, but the quality was terrible.

I ran upload speed test on testmy.net with 6 mb of data, and it came up with 1.1mb/s, which is quite saddenning since my local upload is something around 14,5mb/s.

There's another issue related to my screen, apparently it's something with resolution (I'm at 16:10 instead of 16:9) and I couldn't really find 720p settings or whatnot by reading other threads.

At this moment I'm running at 2000 bitrate with 1.50 downscale and it's not giving me issues, but my stream is unwatchable with such quality. Screen is really blurry and it's barely possible to even read a chat in game.

My question is, would it be possible to stream with higher quality on my current PC/Connection?

2000 bitrate is pretty low for 720p30fps in a game like WoW, unfortunately. If you can't raise bitrate, there isn't going to be a whole lot you can do, I'm afraid.

I streamed for a bit with 3000 bitrate without bigger issues, had an avarage of 0.90% frame drops which was barely noticable, I guess 2700~ would sort it out. Sadly, resolution won't let me go higher than below 720 so I guess I'm stuck as you mentioned. May I just ask, what exactly would be an issue here? I would love to sort it out in close future.
