Hi!

I just recently tryed to broadcast my SMITE gameswith OBS, all my friends suggest me to use XSplit because this program is really simple to use. But I didn't want to pay to stream.

Now my problems is if I start streaming I get high latency, but my PC still goes well no FPS drop no CPU lag spikes

COMPUTER:
CPU : Intel i7 3770 @ 3.2Ghz
RAM : 16gb
VIDEOCARD : Radeon 7870

INTERNET:
DOWNLOAD : 15mbps
UP: 2MBPS

ENCODING SETTINGS:
Quality : 10
MAX BITRATE and BUFFER: 3200
VIDEO : 1920x1080

If I lagg is it cuz my internet connection? does I have the right settings? If u can help out, that would be appreciated

Sry for my super english!

@MarkTMO Thanks for this reply, would you have any Idea what would be the recommended settings for my connection?

You are exceeding your upload speed , so there is no room left for other data hence the increase in ping. (streaming at 3200 bitrate while your upload is around 2000)

Use http://testmy.net/ to determine your real upload speed as other flash based tests are usually not correct .

Depending on what result you get lower your max bitrate and buffer to 75% of your max upload and slowly increase it until you notice an increase in latency (keep in mind that you have to add your audio bitrate on top of your video bitrate to get the real value) , then lower it to the last safe value.

If you are still having issues , post a logfile in this thread elaborating your troubles.
