Question / Help lag while recording

I know there is probably a few things I can change to fix it but I thought maybe a second set of eyes might help even after turning down the settings I'll still see the preview screen freeze in obs.

Just in case you need computer specs:
intel core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz
8GB of ram
64 bit OS
nvidia GeForce GTX 560
