So I've been trying to stream Super Smash Bros. for Wii U with my ElGato Capture Card HD and have came across an issue. Basically, Every so often, my stream will get these weird lag spikes, and I'm not sure whats causing them. I'm not entirely sure if they are actually called lag spikes, but I wasn't sure what else to call them.
Thankfully I made a video to show off what I was talking about. It happens multiple times within that 25 second video.
Starting at 0:04, then at 0:07, again at 0:16 and lastly at 0:19. I included an Ookla Speedtest of my internet if that will help.
Also, if its impotant, I'm using an Alienware X51 R2 (The i7 Version).
I hope you guys can help me figure out why this is happening and how I can fix it!

Also, here is my log file if necessary. I wasn't sure how to Enclose it in code so I'll just leave a link below.

You'll notice that the entire stream doesn't freeze, just the output from your Elgato. Your tickers at the top keep scrolling. Download the latest Elgato drivers from https://www.elgato.com/en/game-capture-hd-support and install/reinstall them, the newest version came out a few days ago. Then delete and re-add your video capture source for the Elgato and see if it works any better.

I uninstalled the Elgato Drivers, reinstalled it, then I deleted & re-added the Elgato as a video capture source but I was still getting the freezes. This made me think that maybe something is wrong with my capture card. So I tested it out with the Elgato Game Capture HD software and everything worked just fine. There was no freezes in the recording. It seems to only happen when I try to stream with OBS. Are their any other suggestions you could give?

For me this same thing happened. I think there is an issue with the new drivers for the Elgato. I switched to 2.0.1 and the issues are gone, but you will have to deal with the audio lag or whatever. It's super annoying.

I'll try using the older version elgato software and see if It helps me out. I think I can deal with the audio lag.
