Question / Help Lag During Skyrim Recording

Hello everyone, I am new to the recording scene and am using OBS to create Let's Plays. For most of my games, it works well with 0 lag in the game and 0 lag in the recording however with two games I notice some issues. I don't stream, only record for youtube.

When I played Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice sometimes there is slight audio lag in the game whilst I am recording and when I play Skyrim, sometimes there is lag whilst recording also (i have mods installed such as Skyfall to improve the look of the game).

I was wondering if there is much that could be done to fix this?

I have attached today's log where I have played both games.

08:56:32.002: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 190 (0.3%)

Slight GPU overload.

09:41:29.854: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 1476/70893 (2.1%)

Since you've chosen the x264 encoder, this is CPU overload. Your GPU supports NVENC, which supplies good quality video with no extra load. You may wish to switch to simple output mode, choose the NVENC encoder with the indistinguishable quality, large file size options.

08:38:10.436: adding 232 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 278 milliseconds (source: Audio Output Capture)

Audio buffering is often also a symptom of CPU overload.
