Lag between Audio and Video While Rec on OBS

I tried checking out many Youtube videos to understand why there is a latency between the Video and Audio while I am using OBS to either record or stream. I tried the below steps to overcome this, but there was no impact on the performance.

1. Reduced the Bitrate
2. Changed the Sync Offset of the Mic to match the video
3. Tried various combinations of Video and Audio encoders

Is there any permanent fix for this latency?

I am using Canon DSLR as a Camera and M-Audio as an Audio Interface.

My question is, is there any permanent fix for this? Are there any settings that can resolve this issue? Is there any tool that I can use to sync my Audio and Video?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Ajinkya

I am new to OBS, and a bit of a novice. I have the same problem Apatale. Did you get a solution?
All I want to do is sync the video to the sound as I watch my firestick on this, and it's really annoying.
Thanks, Stu.

You have separate audio and video data feeds (inputs) and Audio takes a LOT (think order of magnitude) less processing, so naturally it is 'quicker'. Your fix is to
1. either combine, in an already synced state the audio and video before getting to computer
which is rarely actually desired... but will 'permanently resolve the out-of-sync issue... as now audio video will be processed together

but that naturally involves compromises a number of workflow considerations... and not something I'd typically want to do
so, that means you have to deal with a manual sync

2. Adjust the Sync offset... which should be stable.
if sync offset is NOT stable, that usually indicates the CPU is overloaded and simply can't keep up with the system load. At that point, you either need a more powerful computer, or start optimizing your existing computer for your workload to prevent an overload situation

I personally used Streamgeek's sync video to get the initial baseline offset... and I haven't had to adjust that value in years

Many thanks for your reply.
I am a total novice, and unfortunately have only become confused with what you have said.
I'm sure what you have said is straightforward for most people on this forum, but not for me.
Is there anywhere, where I can follow a step-by-step process that will get me through this issue?
Thanks again, Lawrence.

Regards, Stu.
