Bug Report Lack of controller keybind support

OBS original had keybind support for controllers, as shown in this thread:

OBS Multiplatform does not have this support (as previously mentioned in this thread. Playing games with controllers is much more of a pain without this functionality, and the linked thread seems to have gotten, for the large part, ignored. The commits are there to set a precedent, too.

Please reintroduce this feature.

bumping as I haven't seen an official response for this one in any of the threads related to it.

Is this still planned or being worked on?

This can't happen fast enough. I'm in Arma and DCS groups, and it's a pretty universal wishlist feature in both groups.

Can't you guys simply use another software at the same time like joytokey/xpadder or wte else - set a custom button on the game controller to be a keyboard key... on which on OBS that same keyboard key = the hotkey keybind ?
