Bug Report Killing Floor help

Anyone with Killing Floor find a way to get OBS to work with it. I have tried various methods and the only way I can stream is with dxtory/obs.

Wasn't sure if I was missing something and it was possible to do game capture, window capture, etc of Killing Floor?

Please post what you have tried already, specs, your OBS log, and speedtest.

Also what specific trouble are you having

Problem is only back screen no matter what I do. Works fine using dxtory as camera source with obs.

Not even trying to stream. Just doing a preview. (although I did stream it last weekend and all methods I tried below didn't work , all black screen except when I used dxtory).

30Mb down, 5Mb up.

I have tried game capture with 32 and 64bit versions of OBS and running both versions as normal user and admin. All black screen.

Tried monitor capture and running Killing Floor in window and doing window capture. Also tried aero on or off. Nothing but black screen.

Killing Floor is a problem game, at the moment from what I understand. It's not working correctly, not sure when a fix will be available.

Windowed mode (untick full screen) and use Screen capture on the window. Game capture doesn't work on it unfortunately. Wish they implemented Fullscreen borderless though for KF.

Sorry for the trouble with killing floor, going to try to figure out what's up with it (and other games) at some point.

Jim, no reason to apologize. Your app is awesome. We did our 24 hour gaming stream on Twitch last weekend and used obs exclusively. It worked great. The only two issues we had (besides our own problems!), was I used dxtory for Killing Floor, and for some reason Kag2d (http://kag2d.com/en/) had a flickering black screen while one of our guys streamed it. Didn't flicker too bad, so we just went with it.

One thing on Killing floor. I had tried windowed mode in KF, and window capture in obs. Didn't work. But what is odd, is whenever I tried windowed mode capture, and then deleted that window source, and created a game source connection in obs to killing floor, the game source would work as long as I didn't close Killing Floor. Very odd.

I should note I just discovered this work around to getting game capture to KF to work. Sometimes it is tough to do, but once the game capture takes, it is much better than using dxtory/obs.

For me it actually works just fine , all i have to do is to go into the game source settings and refresh it and hit ok again (even if it is already selected). Then i go into Fullscreen and while ingame i use the Hotkey to start streaming. That is one of the reasons why i love OBS because no other Software can record KillingFloor in Fullscreen!

It is still experimental but it works for me 80% of the time!

In the future I'm going to implement a game capture hotkey that will allow you to capture any game you're currently in rather than have to select the individual windows each time. Somewhat of a bad design on my part originally, and now I understand why dxtory works the way it does.
