I was streaming just fine for a few days with OBS on Twitch.TV. Then I bought a new hard drive and reinstalled Win8 64 bit with a fresh installation and resumed streaming.
But now things were different. At first I thought I was having server lag because my movements were extremely laggy. For example I would strafe left and right or jump but the game wouldn't react to my key presses until after a long lag. But my ping was normal and I didn't see any lag problems beyond that. Everyone else on the server and projectiles etc (TF2) were flowing just fine.
I alt tabbed out and typed into notepad to test and it wasn't even taking my text in notepad instantly. I would type a word and it wouldn't appear for a second or two later. So, this definetly rules out any network lag as a result of streaming? As I said I'm just using the same encoding settings as before which I know my connection can handle.
I tried playing without OBS open/streaming and it was fine. After an hour or so of playing I decided to try streaming again and it was fine until about 8 minutes later and I got this strange lag which didn't seem network related.
