Over the last 5 days out of my two years using OBS i have been getting constant frame drops from my kb/s, i had my ISP visit today as recommended by a forum moderator. They overall found nothing that could improve my situation with streaming on OBS. So i was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions or if some of you could take a look at this log file from today i ran as a test. also ill include the twitch test image and speed test after comcast visited today. Comcast said they would call me in a week to see if my issue with streaming fixes it self. Im hoping a OBS update drops soon or maybe the servers im trying to connect to improve. Because the twitchtest still shows same numbers even with default TCP and Medium test duration after comcast came and did a bunch of tests.

You should have been more forceful with them while they were there. Those results indicate something is completely boned with your connection.

they checked the cable line on the pole and did a few things with modem. even cable checked my Ethernet cord. Idk what else they could do when clearly my internet is stable with everything else.

Streaming is not the same as most internet applications. By comparison, it's very fragile to any connection issues. Also, did you explain the EXACT issue you were having? Trying to stream to twitch, and showed them the results and the issues you were having? Checking with a direct connection to the modem outside any router? Had them verify by running a direct line from the box outside to the modem itself to see if that made a difference? If they were only looking at speedtest results to verify connection stability, they should be fired.

Since you're unable to establish a stable connection with two separate applications, the issue is not something that we can fix. Either your route to the twitch servers is all going through a bad node, or something else is happening with your connection. Do you have another PC in the house you can run the twitchtest tool on to eliminate hardware on your PC as the issue?

yeah i showed them exactly my issue even ran a twitch test in front of the guy. I only have a modem so yeah they checked the direct connection to the box outside as well as the power line. I will try twitch test on another computer via wifi and direct connection right now.

So on another computer both wifi and direct connected it gets the same or similar results as my main pc. I also downloaded OBS on the laptop and got same streaming results. However seems obs classic does not drop as many frames so im using that for now. But it does seem more and more isp related.

Hey my internet randomly got better today. my twitch test results all have a quality of 70 or higher and my closest servers are getting 10k kbps now! weird.

This happens more often than you'd think. It's possible the trip out to your house lead them to find an issue upstream, but rather than admit it and be responsible for refunds or any service crediting, they just silently fix it and don't acknowledge there was ever an issue.

im getting the same issues, for the last week, and noticing other things now besides just OBS like xbox live dropping alot and during peak hours cant stream at all. and the cable company just said its a bad ground from the power to the house , call the power company. after they did about the same things as the OP. but my tests for OBS all came out great and high, yet i still lose stability alot while streaming lately yet my kb/s is well over 5k most times when the light turns red, and other times the kps dips or bottoms out. its very annoying......
