Question / Help Jittery/Laggy OBS when I stream games

So I am having an issue when I am attempting to stream video games with OBS where the game will run smoothly but the moment I click off the OBS application the preview + the actual stream will become choppy/laggy! The moment I click back on the program it will stop being choppy but it seems to ONLY happen while in game! If I’m on my desktop it will not have an issue when I click off the application....Any advice?

Specs: i7-7700k
16gb DDR4
1060 6gb
Asrock K6 Gaming MotherBoard
800w psu

Well, it is a common phenomenon for an OBS to lag. While most people may think that the error could be emanating from their PC, but I want to assure you that that is not the case. The issue is lying on the software site. Hence, I would recommend you watch the following video. It helped me and I hope it will too to you. Thanks

That is not a cure-all @Selinam and I'd advise you not recommend such videos in the future, as they do not actually address the root causes of issues.
