I have the same problem and although I do not have a solution, I do have a workaround. Just use window capture to record Minecraft - I find that does not crash it

Thank you for letting me know, though annoyingly I can't seem to get the same issue on my end with minecraft. Certain mods can make it crash, just so you know.. I doubt it's a bug in OBS' opengl capture, but I couldn't say for 100% certain. Could also be that java is just horrible. I don't have any answers for you guys at the moment unfortunately, though I appreciate you guys letting me know, I'll make note of it (only thing I can do at the moment)

I am using java 7 update 21, minecraft version 1.5.2 and the only mod I have is the most current version of optifine(I'm not at my computer at the moment so I can't say specifics.) I gave it a brake and tried again yesturday and has not been solved.

I'm currently using the v0.625 of OBS and have been having the same issue. Anytime I Record any minecraft in OBS with game capture I get a Java(TM) SE Binary has crashed. and minecraft goes back to the launcher (I cannot use the monitor capture work around because I'm running of a laptop with a single screen) also note I'm using vanilla minecraft in the 1.7.9 update version
