Question / Help It sees the device but no video

Hello,

I installed OBS Studio on an old HP Elitebook 2560p runnung Ubuntu 16.04. But a strange thing happens when plug my Full HD Video Capture device ( This is it on Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/ybcqp4fq) into the USB port. It sees the feed as 'HDMI to U3 capture' when you try to add a source to a scene, but no video shows. Everything else seems to be in order, so I just ned to solve this problem to have a nice portable internet video broadcasting rig. *ANY* help I can get will be *greatly appreciated. So please heeeeeelp! ;) :)

I sort-of solved the problem. It sees the external camera *if* it's plugged in before I boot up the program. But then I can't use the internal video camera. I can either use the one or the other, but not both. Is this a known issue?
