Good afternoon folks. We have used this fantastic software for over a year now not for gaming, but for recording audio and a screen capture for speakers giving talks and using PowerPoint slides. Probably not what anyone intended, but it has worked great!
However, we've started using a new computer for this, and we are having some issues. The computer is hooked up to a monitor and projector, and the resolution set to 1280 x 800. However, the videos we get back are 960 x 800 are are missing the 320 pixels on the right side. We've set the video display size in Windows, changed the settings in OBS, etc., to just about anything imaginable, and while we've been able to make it worse, we haven't been able to make it capture the entire width of the screen.
This particular computer has onboard video AND an nVidia card, with the latter being enabled in the BIOS. Is there a chance we are experiencing something akin to the laptop video issue noted here? https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/
(I think we can disable the nVidia card in the BIOS, enable the onboard video, and capture from that, but there's a class in the room we need to test this in until the end of the day so we can't do anything tomorrow and I thought I'd ask you folks if I was at least barking up the correct tree....).
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
Mike
