Question / Help issues with OBS capturing

I have been trying to capture a game that only likes to be shown using window capture, the picture that is shown in the preview is not only frozen on a single frame but it is showing my entire desktop and other things it shouldn't be picking up. Please help, i love obs studio but i have these issues every once in a while then have to fix them again.

can anyone help me with this problem? i think its something wrong with obs, but not settings.

In monitor capture (source column) ......, right click .... filters
Add a crop filter and adjust it to show only game window

I tried this but the problem is its freezing on 1 frame of my desktop and showing every window open in this frame. Its confusing how it managed this but i could put a picture of the issue if it would help convey my issue.

Thank you! That fixed the frozen screen and made my fps while recording much higher. Sorry for seeming like a jerk in my before replies, i know you were trying to help but i was just agitated about not being able to find a solution. Again, thank you for helping my issue and have a great day. :)
