I am posting this in both your forums and OBS' forums just to see who responds because I have posted on these two posts and never got answers. The first post is on anopther users geforce post that was having the same issue https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/826464/g-sync-and-obs-issue/?offset=3#4635463. The other is an obs forum filled with users have the same problem https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/gsync-and-obs.10878/. Idk who needs to fix this but it needs to at least looked at and something needs to be done about it. I cannot stream at all when games are in windowed or windowed borderless mode if i use OBS in monitor capture mode with gsync on. It makes a HUGE fps dip awhen the window is active but if the window is not active ie: when aa browser or another window is selected the fps regulates. If i turn on the gysnc option on only for full screen games it works fine. If i also change to windowed capture mode it works fine but this is not ideal since I paid my "Gsync Premium" to use gsync and window capture mode does not work well if im changing games while streaming where as monitor capture would not have issues switching games on the fly while live. This also happens in any version of windows also. I tried Windows 7,8,8.1, and 10.

I have also create dthe smae thread on the geforce support forums. The link is https://forums.geforce.com/default/...sues-with-gsync-and-open-broadcast-software-/

I have the same issue, same card, newer CPU etc. I have 6 monitors and this only happens on my G-Sync monitor. The same OBS session works just fine when I move the game window to my non-G-Sync monitors in the same recording.

My game while recording runs at 53fps until the game window itself is selected; then it drops to 12fps and doesn't move from there.

I've tried turning G-Sync off in windowed mode, but that doesn't help either.

I've also tried all the various options, x264, NVENC, etc. I'm recording in NV12/YU12 mode. I've also tried both OBS and OBS-MP. It also happens when recording the monitor window and not just the game. Super strange issue.

HI,
I hope we can fix this. Let me explain you my issues. Monitor Gsync 165hz and mostly all my games run over 100frames except tom raider or few games but always more than 60frames. I fancy different situations for each game. I always have Gsync active in full and windows mode and ofcourse I get problems when I triy to stream in OBS. My settings for streaming are 1080f/60f 9000bitrate,Downscale: Lanczos 32 samples. However I tried lower configurations and the problem persist. Let me tell you that when I capture the window and play Batman and Overwatch in bordeless mode the games they run at 17fps or less. Then I press alt + enter to get in full screen mode in the game. Then the game runs perfect but OBS does not show the game because I am in windows mode. So I press again alt + enter to go back to windows mode and now everything goes perfect, the game and obs with gsync. Well this works with this 2 games and few others. But I have to use different configuratios for each games. Other games I had to capture the game and play in full screen and I get 2 situations. Or the game goes slow and OBS goes perfect, ot the otherway around, the game goes perfect and OBS works slow. I know that it is something with Gsync, with the capture mode in OBS, the screen mode in Game and the high fps performance. But as I said each game perfromance different and it is a headache to now why exactly this happens adn how to fix it. I will keep doing more and more test and keep you updates. my twiter is @yomaltes.

My game gets 24 FPS on borderless when OBS is running switching to fullscreen puts me back to 144 fps. I have to play fullscreen when I stream because OBS and borderless/Gsync dont work? Is there anyway to fix this problem?
