Issues streaming games

Hey every1 I currently have a M4 mac and when im streaming my normal screen (My desktop) it works perfectly fine. I start running into issues when im trying to stream the games im playing. Once I open the game im streaming it becomes choppy for no reason. On my screen im not lagging or anything and I know I can handle it. I tried so many things from lowering my game quality to lowering my stream quality. I changed my screen resolution and nothing has changed. I changed my bitrate as well and still no changes. If anybody has any fixes that would be very helpful.
