@josha_kun Are you sure that you tried 640x480@30fps, for example?

From the log:
17:32:51.783: DShow: HDevice::ConnectPins: failed to connect pins (0x80040207): The owner SID on a per-user subscription doesn't exist
17:33:22.001: DShow: HDevice::ConnectFilters: RenderStream failed (0x80070057): The parameter is incorrect.

Do you tried it in other applications, like Skype? Is it even works?
If the cam not working only in OBS Studio then something is blocking the application from the capture.

As last option - run OBS Studio 32bit .exe

Click Activate then deactive or vise versa, uncheck deactivate when not showing. Also try clicking the transition option if preview window is showing a black screen.

@Virtualvidz I have been having this problem for a few days on ALL my webcams, trying to get 16:9 capture instead of 4:3 and your suggestion was the ONLY thing that worked.
My specific steps:
  1. Start OBS
  2. Create New Scene
  3. Create New Source -- Add Video Capture Device
  4. Device: Integrated Laptop Webcam
  5. Click "Deactivate"
  6. Set Resolution/FPS Type: Custom
  7. Set Resolution: 1280x720
  8. Leave all other settings at default
  9. Click "Activate"
  10. Click "OK"
  11. Unplug All Other Webcams/Capture Cards/Video Sources
  12. Re-plug Next Video Source (for me, my Logitech C920)
  13. Repeat steps 3-10
  14. Repeat steps 11-13 as necessary
edit: I've realized the issue is caused by trying to adjust the settings of the Camera while the camera is in use.

I wanted to have a 16x9 Source from my webcam (for fullscreen) and a 4x3 Source (for facecam with a game/window), and realized I could not add the 4x3 resolution, even with the Activate/Deactivate issue in mind, because the camera was still in use in the 16x9 scene (also, the blue LED that indicates the cam is in-use was lit).

To be able to have both aspect ratios as sources, I needed to discard the 4x3 source, then edit the setttings of the 16x9 source and check the box labeled "Deactivate when not showing".

I am having similar issues with muted output with multiple bluetooth devices.. ie. mouse, speakers, mics .. accidentally found only solution was to physically shut down and restart bluetooth in settings panel. Another camera issue is being able to select mirror or normal on c920 webcam .. it is only selectable under certain conditions such as when changing resolutions.

I'm also struggling to get a zoom q4n to work as a webcam, on windows 10.
I first tried MS's camera desktop app, and got "Can't start your camera" and a "WIndowShowFailed" error message. (Obviously I have the camera on webcam setting...)
Naturally I followed all the advice that led to, but still no joy. I've updated the firmware (now v 1.20), and - I think - I've updated the drivers. At least I downloaded the latest driver from the zoom site and followed the instructions, although it's made no difference to the driver details displayed in the hardware properties (4 files are listed under driver details).
I discovered OBS, downloaded that, but have no idea how to get that to work. I can type in "q4n" as a source, but then what? There is no sign the program is recognising any input (video or audio).
