Issue with trying OBS for the first time

I've used other software before, and now that OBS makes sense to me I wanted to try streaming videos to my channel again. But when testing recording a game, about half way through, the recording snapped the image to half away across the screen? I'm still new to this, so if anyone knows what happened, I'd appreciate an answer and advice. Thanks!

Just to confirm, in the preview in OBS the capture was still fitting to the scene? No chance you accidentally dragged it down?
 
I may have. I only have one monitor at the moment, and I made the OBS program, and window, as small as I could to keep an eye on it while I filmed. Though I could have sword I did that before filming. I'll try another test soon, thanks for responding!
