Question / Help Issue with the aduo - self adjusting?

I'm messing around OBS to record some gameplay, but I'm having issues with the audio.

When there are low sounds being played, the audio boosts itself up and makes the sound very loud. This is very annoying as it boosts itself constantly up when my microphone constantly makes a low static noise.

This literally makes the stream unwatchable as low noises are automatically boosted up to max sound level.

I've checked all the settings options, but there are nothing there that explains the problem. When I try my recording in Fraps, it doesn't automatically adjust the volume.

Could anyone help me fix the auto adjusting volume problem?

OBS doesn't adjust your audio levels beyond what you configure with its volume sliders. Based on your description it sounds like you're being affected by the default Windows auto-ducking behavior. Go to Control Panel > Sound > Communications tab and make sure the option is set to "Do Nothing".
