Question / Help Issue with importing recording into Davinci

It's forcing every recording into being Windows Media Player, and i don't know how to change the type of recording it turns into. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't work. I think it's preventing me from importing the recording into my editing software of Davinci
