Hello,
OBS is used to livestream recitals for the music department at the university I am currently attending and there is a problem that I wanted to send here to see if we could get some help.
We have used OBS on two separate laptops and one desktop computer so far since the quarantine started in March. For some reason, when we use the desktop computer (2019 Mac), we cannot add a specific camera in multiple scenes (The camera in question is an NDI PTZ camera installed in the back of the hall). We can add it once normally, but if we try to add it to another scene as well, then OBS crashes. It’s important to note that this problem does not occur for our other two laptops.
We recently went to the university’s IT department for help, but we didn’t get very far. We tried to use the desktop’s terminal to look for an error message, but all we got was this:
Terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
Which doesn’t tell us much (unless I am missing something). Although we have access to the log files (One is attached), we do not have access to any crash reports (Nothing will happen if the crash report prompts are clicked).
To get around this problem, we currently duplicate the specific camera for the other scenes even though it is tedious to deal with and not a problem on the laptops (Not to mention the consequences of duplicating a camera and accidently changing multiple scenes by accident).
Please let us know if there is anything we should try that we have not thought of.
Thanks.
