Question / Help Issue Streaming Windows 95 Game

I'm trying to stream Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri on my WIndows 7 machine but have encountered issues capturing the on-screen graphics. OBS Studio captures all audio, the animated game intro video, a few visual elements in-game with specific colors - a blinking green command prompt, yellow unit markers -- but none of the main graphical elements are captured at all and the screen is largely black. Is there any way to get OBS to capture and broadcast such an old game?

Yes. The rendering in display capture is identical only the graphic-less game window is scrunched up in the top left corner of my desktop background.

^^^^^^ These are screenshots of OBS capturing the open cinematic (below) and it's partial rendering of in-game assets (top). For some reason the screenshot itself fails to capture these same elements; i saw full graphical assets on the monitor captured in top left, but PrtScn only seems to capture the same limited information as OBS.

Not sure there's an easy way to fix this issue given the game's age and how it renders content. I've had some luck with Dxtory capturing really old stuff and then adding its DirectShow output as a video capture device in OBS, but that's a little clunky and requires paid software. I suppose you could also go the capture card route but that seems a tad excessive just for Alpha Centauri.
