Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well today.

I am trying to use OBS to stream to Chaturbate.

I have successfully used OBS to stream to Twitch before so I am somewhat familiar with it. I actually uninstalled then reinstalled OBS so I could use the setup configuration wizard and make sure I input the exact specifications chaturbate provides on this help page. https://support.chaturbate.com/customer/portal/articles/2820593-how-do-i-set-up-obs-

One thing I notice is that Chaturbates support page says the server is supposed to reflect an RTMP:// URL.
OBS does not allow me this option. OBS will auto pick a geographical server and so then it chose "US Central". It does not give any option to input an RTMP:// URL for server.

OBS appears to be working. Bitrates, resolution, etc, are within what Chaturbate has recommended. I can start streaming on OBS and everything looks good there. But when I go to chaturbate it says I am offline.

I have tried generating a new stream token, twice, and putting the new one in OBS but that made no difference. Logged out of CB, logged back in, refreshes, reloads, restart my computer, blah blah blah I am at my wits end trying to fix this. It seems to me like this is an issue on CB's end, or I need to figure out how to change the server to reflect a RTMP:// url.

Thanks so much for your help everyone.

As you can see here (https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/blob/master/plugins/rtmp-services/data/services.json#L936-L969), when you select the CB service and choose a region, you are choosing one of those RTMP servers. If you want to manually enter an RTMP server, you can change the stream type to Custom Streaming Server at the top of the Stream settings page, but you shouldn't need to unless those servers are somehow outdated.

It sounds like you may need to contact CB support to resolve this issue, as OBS appears to be connecting fine in that log, though it cut off before showing if you're dropping any frames.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I have a feeling the issue is on their end.

If I try to use a custom server instead of US Central, It does allow me to input the RTMP URL and the stream token. They provide a help page that tells me my specific RTMP URL to use and my unique stream token. So using that info it does not connect at all. I even checked a youtube vid showing how to do it and it doesnt work using their specific URL. I noticed the URL for the geographical region is slightly different than the RTMP URL they tell me it is supposed to be.
