Question / Help Is this PC good for streaming?

Hey guys, so I'm kind of new at building computers. And i wonder if the pc I'm thinking about putting together will handle streaming CS:GO and perhaps League of Legends properly. I'm looking to stream 1080p 24-60 fps, or perhaps 720p at the same amount of fps. I also have a budget around 1000 euro.

The parts:

MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB

MSI B150 Gaming M3, Socket-1151

Intel Core i5-6600K Skylake

Intel TS13X Liquid Cooling Solution

HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz 16GB kit

For the harddrive and power supply, i will grab that from my old computer.

Edit: My budget is now around 1500-1600 euros.

It will stream fine even without any overclocking needed.

It will not hit 1080@60fps streaming. 720@30fps is going to be workable though, and 720@60/1080@30 isn't feasible for non-partnered casters if you're planning to stream to Twitch.

If you plan und streaming on a regular basis do not waste your money on any sort of i5 you will regret it later on.

Since you chose a b150 Chipset Motherboard and a i5 6500k im not quite sure if you are planning on overclocking but according to the Mainboard you probably dont.

I would suggest saving a bit more and either go the full way for a i7 6700k and a proper z170 Boards or only get a i7 6700 and stay with the b150, try to get a h170 Board since it offers 16x 3.0 chipset PCI-E Lanes compared to 8x 3.0 Chipset PCI-E Lanes on the b150

As a roundup on your chosen Setup. Streaming LoL will be no Problem at all streaming CS:GO might lead into performance decrease.

P.S.: the GTX 1070 is around the Corner ;)

Yeah, I have put down further amount of time and research. And I do think that i am going with the following:

ASUS Z170-A

ASUS GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX DC2 OC

Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0 GHz 8MB

And also. Is it worth getting ddr4 ram with 3133mhz instead of the 2133mhz on the ones I'm thinking about ordering now? And depending on the price of the 1070 i might get that one instead. Looks pretty damn neat to be honest!

For streaming you want i7 usually. For example when I do benchmarks on my i7 4770k + 980ti and i5 6600k + 980ti, i5 performs better in games with some FPS higher but cpu utilization (usage) is really going up to 70/80% while on my i7 stays around 50% where you get more space for streaming. Depends on game though.

720p30 or 720p60 should be achievable depending on what game. Games like Witcher 3 would make your performance lower then i7, but other games just fine. Lol no issues, CSGO probably ~200+fps with competetive settings which is usually almost everything on low.

You can't see difference between ddr3 1333mhz and ddr4 3133mhz so.. Not worth at all. Btw I would recommend waiting for prices to drop on 970 a bit more.. Since you are aiming for 6700k that gpu is pretty much bottom limit for what you want to play other games aswel and there are pretty much better deals I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure I will be going for the i7 now. And then I'll be getting my hyper fury 2133mhz ram. Will be going for the 2x8. I feel like 200fps in csgo while streaming would be very nice. As long as I am over 144fps im happy, and that since I'm getting a new monitor. I've been playing on my 60hz monitor until now when I'm getting a new one.

I have done further investigations now on the GTX 1070 that's being released the 10th of june. Seems like a better over all deal than getting the GTX 970 right? And teh fact that it has said to be released for around 359 dollars, and founders edition for 459 dollars. And that is absolutely possible with my budget. So any advices on that?

Yeah is much better deal, well if you can find one around release date :)

On fx8350 you can get 144+, intel has no issues with csgo while streaming.
