Hey All,

Before I dig a huge hole and realize I'm in above my head, I am wondering if this setup is possible.

Don't ask why, but, I would like to be able to have this setup.

My machine, which is streaming a 'Window Capture/Region Capture' to the wife's machine (I've heard VLC may be able to help, although I can't find any decent websites with tutorials), the wife's machine is running OBS, and streaming to Twitch, on my Wife's machine (her machine is better specs), I have a Web-cam, and an EzCap Device (Connected to an old 8 bit machine) going into OBS on wife's machine, but I would love to do stuff on my machine, just things in Notepad, etc, and stream that over to the wife's machine, which would get incorporated into OBS and venture up into Twitch.

Is this possible (if I made any sense at all).

Suggestions / Recommendations will be most welcome.

Regards.

My computers are not close together, and I like the idea of setting up nginx,

So, this is where i'm up to, and I'm stuck.

I have nginx running on the wifes machine and I have OBS running on my machine, pumping out something towards her machine.

The /stat.xls file is showing

So I'm guessing the info is getting from my machine to her machine, but when I try to pull OBS on her machine, so I can stream it to Twitch, I am unable to find the correct URL to put into the Video Source Plugin, no matter what I tried.

I'm thinking it is something I've blatantly missed in the .conf file, as I've not changed much.

Can you help?

I think I may have found the URL, it's the key at the end I didn't have, now I know that, I can tweak.

I'll come back again shortly. :)

Yeah, I think I've done it, I've managed to get OSB to stream over to the wife's machine, and then she can encode.

Now here is the question, is OBS the best way? I've read another thread that OBS to RTMP is defeating the purpose, as I want the wife's machine to do the encoding, so I'm encoding on my machine, and then re-encoding on her machine, right?
