Well you can add a webcam/camera picture live into obs and use the Chroma Key, also live of course:

The projector of OBS can output this in fullscreen to another monitor to see the "final" picture. Since you used photoshop/gimp so far, you probably only worked with images right? The Image source of OBS also has a Color Key option to remove a color.
