Is there any way to force OBS to consider my headset as headphones?

I know OBS does it because BT can't handle both high quality output and input and you need to switch to lower quality headset device in Windows to hear anything. However, I'm almost never using headset's microphone in OBS. I only have it as disabled source as a backup. I also have all global audio devices disabled.

Is there any way around it except using cable? E.g. by forcing OBS to use it as headphones device.

I think that's enough. You probably need to take it out completely.

Coming from the pro audio world, it's VERY common to see things that you're not using, still running. That's just normal, especially on an analog console:
You may have the mute button pressed, and you don't hear it in the PA, but the meter(s) and the processing for that input are still running. It just doesn't go anywhere. Translate that to the digital world, and it makes sense that whatever is needed to make that input work, is still active even though you're not sending its signal anywhere.

In your case, part of making the input work, kills the output quality. And that's active simply because you have that input *at all*, even if you don't send it anywhere.

Another scene collection is one option.

Another option (workaround) could be you install some virtual audio device such as vb-audio. In OBS global audio settings, configure this virtual audio device as mic instead of your bluetooth mic. Don't use this virtual audio device for anything, it's just used as a placeholder in your configuration. In case you do want to use your bluetooth mic, change this setting to your bluetooth mic. If you're finished, change it back to the virtual audio device.
