Question / Help Is there any way to auto-record gameplay as soon as a game starts?

I've been trying to configure obs to do that as I read a lot of comments on the internet saying it can be done but never explain how-to, and I haven't had any luck. What do I need to do? I've been using a different software up to December when it closed and never been able to find a program which could do that as easily as that one.

I don't know of a direct way of doing this, but here's my idea.

You can set up a hotkey to start/stop recording. From there, you can have an AHK script detect when a certain program has started running and send the required hotkey. Similar thing for when the program is no longer running.
 
I'll look into it. It doesn't sound bad but I have no experience with scripts, I'll see if there is one already made.

But first I have to fix why all my recordings are black screens with audio.
