Question / Help Is there any plans for recording earlier pc games working?

I want to record Roller Coaster Tycoon 2,but it will not pick up the signal until then I can use mods to make RCT2 play in windows mode and record that way. Please allow it to pick up earlier PC games if possible.

older games typically typically need window capture but not always. adding in compatibility for game capture isn't always possible. is that a DX9 game?

DX8 support was integrated a while back and here was the list at the time.

more might work but since this plugin is built in now. a fallback is always window capture with compatibility mode enabled. at that, you could try monitor capture, but this only works with non fullscreen games. and if you are running windows 7, you'd want to do a game capture and set the game to DWM.exe. this is the fast way to do monitor capture.
