Question / Help Is there a way to limit the bitrate of quick sync custom parameter "icq"?

Hi, i started recording local video with quicksync and found i really like the custom parameter icq, quality 23, it gives me small files most of the time and the quality is great, i know its bitrate is dependent on the complexity of the scene, but there is no way to limit it, while there are videos of 10 mbps bitrate that look incredible on youtube there are some that can go up to 100 mbps and of course look horrible on youtube when uploaded, so my point is, is there a way to limit the bitrrate with this mode? it seems to ignore the 50 mbps i set on obs max bitrate.

Thanks for the help.

nope i commented way too early, it is still ignoring the max bitrate i set on obs and uses up to 80 mbps on high action scenes while other it just uses 10 mbps. It just fluctuates a lot.

Maybe switch to CBR. no need for CBR padding though.
