Is there a way to have the hotkeys NOT make OBS the active window?

When streaming our church services I use the same computer to run the pastor's presentation. He likes to control the slides with a remote, but the presentation software has to be the active window for that to work. I defined hotkeys in OBS to switch scenes and transition scenes, hoping that this would not take away the pastor's ability to control the presentation, but it still switches the active window back to OBS, so I have to manually switch back to the presentation every time.

I'd love if the hotkeys would perform their action, but NOT switch the active window. If OBS cannot do that, does anyone know of another way to do this? I guess if
