Is there a way to capture old games with dx 8 and no windowed function

Can OBS do this?
Obviously, monitor capture will cause a flashing recording.

Is there a "mode" or something that could be created especially for these old games with no windowed support and old versions of dx.

Apart of this plugin:

or Dxtory, there is no "mode" to use in OBS. Only other option I know would be using a capture card.
