Question / Help Is something wrong with my computer or my settings?

Hi guys, I am pretty new to OBS Studio but I've been playing around on it for maybe 2 weeks and have never been satisfied with the quality of the videos, they always seem to be a little off of what it really looks like. The lag is also an issue but I believe I can fix that.

Anyways I have seen maybe 25+ tutorials on what settings are prime and they are all different it seems and I have looked at quite a few forums as well to no avail. I just can never seem to find good settings for prime recording. Is this my computer's fault, how can I fix this?

There is no recording/streaming attempt in that logfile, please start a recording/streaming attempt, do what you would do normally in-game for a few minutes or so then stop the recording/streaming attempt, then upload the current logfile.

One thing I can see though is in your Scene you have both game capture and monitor capture as sources, having both in the same scene will cause you problems. I suggest moving Monitor Capture to another scene, this will alleviate some (More likely most) of the potential performance issues.

Here is an exert from my logfile:
09:56:24.760: Loaded scenes:
09:56:24.760: - scene 'Desktop Capture':
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Desktop' (monitor_capture)
09:56:24.760: - scene 'Game Capture':
09:56:24.760: - source: 'RimWorld' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Planet Coaster' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Path of Exile' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Elder Scrolls Online' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Civilization V' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Black Desert Online' (game_capture)
09:56:24.760: - source: 'Battlefield 4' (game_capture)

I also noticed that you have Windows Game Bar and Game DVR enabled in your OS settings, you might want to try disabling them in your OS settings to see if that alleviates some of the performance issues. I personally only use OBS to record game play footage as it is much more configurable.

The logfile you uploaded is your prior logfile, not your current... Can you upload an up to date logfile please. Hard to troubleshoot without details of performance of recording/streaming attempt/s.
