Here is Lubuntu ( Ubuntu using LXQT ) 24.04.3 and Kernel 6.14. CPU AMD FX 6300 8 GB RAM and Geforce 640 1 GB VRAM driver 470. Desktop resolution 1920X1080 60 Hz in session X11.
Using OBS Studio last version with NVENC support for GT 640 is 30.2.3.
When trying to do screen capture selecting source "Display Capture XSHM" the GPU usage goes from 3 % to 38 % if using output 1280X720 or 80 % using output 1920X1080 and thus being not is possible to do an screen capture from an software using extremely the GPU and the VRAM usage is high too.
Even selecting to use NVIDIA NVENC to enconding not offload the GPU usage in OBS Studio.
Which settings can optimize the OBS Studio to GPU usage to minimum ?
