Question / Help Is my stream quality reasonable to my specs?

Hi!

I've been having similar problems to many others, this "stuttering" thing while streaming while vods are running perfectly fine. I recently learned about dropped frames and lowered everything to a point where i could stream League of legends @ medium quality without any dropped frames according to OBS (still not sure if it's stuttering on my stream, though). My question is as the title follows: Am I limiting myself or is it all reasonable?

I have a 100/100 line but my router is old, thus limiting my connection to about 50/35. I live in Sweden and I'm using EU:Frankfurt as server. My specs on my computer are:

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
FX-8350 @ 4.2GHZ
GTX 560ti SOC
Antec 550W
8GB 1600mhz corsair vengeance

Configs on OBS:

Encoding:

Quiality: 8
Max bitrate: 2000
Buffer Size: 3000

Audio: AAC 128 bitrate

Video:

1920x1200
Downscaled 1.50 = 1280/800
FPS: 30
Aero disabled

Thank you in advance

if you want to capture the whole monitor then those settings are mostly fine apart from the bitrate

otherwise use game capture instead and disable monitor capture when you're not using it.

i believe that your pc can do with these enhanced values with game capture
bitrate 4000
fps 60
quality 8 is fine
and make sure to download the latest version from download page

post a log to confirm.

I need to move to sweden

if you are not dropping frames, your upload is good enough and your viewers have a sufficient download speed then its out of your reach and a twitch related problem . ever since own3d died twitch has even more streamers and viewers overloading their servers (especially on weekends and/or with League of Legends Tournaments going).

you have no idea how many people actually suffer from that problem trying to get rid of their laggy stream thinking its on their end. while in reality it is a twitch related issue with their servers.

your settings for streaming league with your system specs and connection seem totally fine to me.

oh yea and sweden has the best internet in europe right now. if someone from sweden has a better ping to servers in other countries than people living in that country, you know their internet rocks.

I switched servers to London, UK but I don't think that itself solved my issue since It's still lagging when I'm trying to watch my own stream. Though, I've asked several of my friends to watch my stream if they're experiencing the same lag but alas, they were not. I even managed to increase quality to 10 and stream @ 60fps! Still 1.50 ratio, though.

It seem as if it's just too much for one cpu to process all those frames if you understand what I mean.

hilalrpo: thank you. game capture really made an impact on my performance in game in regards of fps

FatHitman: Come on over. 3 out of 5 ISPs provide 100/100 fibre network for ~50-60$/month

Dariofubar: thank you for your input. It's true that Sweden has great networking. Visit Sweden during Dreamhack, they have a Gigabit section (1000/1000) for a small addition fee.
