It can, depending on the resolution/framerate you plan to record at. Knowing the model of CPU is also more important than the clockspeed, as if you have a cut-down i7-in-name-only dual core, it's going to have problems. But if it's just an older chip like an i7-920, it could still perform well.
That said, 'no' fps drop isn't ever going to happen without a dedicated 2PC setup. There will always be SOME impact, even if it's slight to unnoticeable.
That isnt true, because i have a Cereleon 1.6ghz, and i run csgo 45-60 frames, and i record with this 1080p 30frames no problem. i could go higher but the file size would be too much. Im just asking others if they think it will run good.
Oh well then idk, ig its like 2 or 3 core ill have to see when i get everything working and ill come back to you and tell you.There are no 5-core i7s. Even if a physical core was defective and disabled to avoid crashing, it'd be a six-core with HT. Generally all i7s (aside from the new 'mobile' ones which are junk) are going to be at least 8-core.
