So, I tried to record Amnesia and the Evil Within both of which would only record a few minutes and lag very bad. At first I thought it was just my set up so I fixed it.I have tried lowering the game graphics too, honestly I have no idea what else to do because I have tried doing what a lot of tutorials said to do. Now I just think my computer can't handle recording a bigger game, and I hope that's not the case.

I'm really new-ish to doing anything with computers or even OBS and I'm trying to learn, if I can please get some advice on how I can record my games to the full 30- 40 minutes I was doing without it corrupting please help. I lost so much gameplay because I didn't know why it kept cutting off after 5 minutes with the never ending stop recording.
Here are my computer's specs:( It's a HP 15-bw0332m)

-Quality preset- Balanced
-Rate Control Method- Constant Bitrate
-Pre-passed Mode- Disabled
-Target Bitrate-2000
-Key-Frame Interval- 2.00

-Output (Scaled) Resolution-1280 x 720
-Downscale Filter-Bicubric (sharpened scaling,16 samples)

Help please..
