On the screen I had the following 10 windows on a 32x9 screen:
A High def 16x9 image shrunk, repeated twice, my chat screen within another window, repeated twice, and 3 camera perspectives, each with a left eye and a right eye.
I noticed one of the 2 eyes in one of the 3 cameras was kind of choppy. Everything else was running at 30 FPS at least, possibly 60.
When I took out one extraneous camera persepective, (both eyes) it ran smooth.
2 questions:
1. Would cloning the tv screen and chat window save resources instead of 2 capture sources?
2. My computer is a 2018 Mac Mini Intel i3. If I were to upgrade to a 2023 (22?) M2 mac mini, would I be able to get all 3 stereo cameras, my monoscopic game footage, and my chat window all at once? Or is this an OBS limit of so many sources and hardware won't help me?
One unusual thing I noticed that may suggest the answer is hardware limits is that when I do my red and cyan Third Thursday in the Third Dimension, I 100 percent desaturate the color, then dye the monochrome pictures red and cyan, and 3 stereo cameras run smooth along with color game footage and text chat. Does that sound like the limit in the hardware?
Btw I use 2 Belkin Thunderbolt 3 hubs and 1 Belkin Thunderbolt 2 hub. Is that enough for 7 videos and a text window? Would the Thunderbolt 4 connection help me fit everything in? Does it depend on resolution of the videos?
