Question / Help Is it possible to stream at 720 but record at 1080?

I tried this months ago, using the video output settings, and the advanced output settings, and the stream was dropping frames like crazy, and if I recall correctly the final output files were still 720p. OBS said that my encoder was overloaded at the time

Is it possible with the newest update to OBS to stream at 720p while recording at 1080p, without overloading the encoder? How would I go about doing this?

By using Output Mode: Advanced.
You need to check the Rescale Output (and choose [or type it] resolution 1280x720) at the Streaming tab. Output (Scaled) Resolution at Settings>Video to 1920x1080, i.e. same as Base (Canvas) Resolution.
