Is it possible to record both the entire scene and an individual source?

I've been enjoying using OBS for a long time now, but there is one thing that I really wish I could do. My scene has game footage from either a capture card (for console) or a game capture/window capture (for PC), along with an overlay for streaming. Is there any way to record both the entire scene and the game footage source to separate files? I know I can by splitting it across two computers, with one recording the source and the other adding in the overlay and recording that, but I would like to not have to use two computers for this. If I have to, I will, but I can't help but think there must be a better way.

There is a plugin (right here) which lets you record sources directly by applying a filter to it.

Otherwise, some people double the canvas size to have one screen on the left and another to the right. Then crop the correct one they want to use in post.
