Question / Help Is it possible to only record some layers of a stream?

Hi, I've recently started streaming and I haven't been able to find any information on this subject. I edit down my streams and upload them to my channel, and I was wondering if it was possible to only capture part of what's being broadcast? The main reason is that I want to have music playing in the background of my stream, but I don't want the music to be recorded because of the way that I edit the streams before I upload them. Is this possible to do? Thanks!

Thank you, but that isn't what I was talking about. I'd like the music to be playing in the stream, but not in the recording
