Is it possible to have audio fade smoothly between scenes when it is Monitor Only?

Due to my Frankensteined setup, I need to have audio play through Monitor Only. The audio just cuts off at the exact transition point between scenes, but a fade out, even a small one would be needed to not have it sound like a piece of poo.

Any suggestions?

Audio should crossfade between scenes; if it's present in the first and not in the second, it will fade out. In the second and not the first, it will fade in. The fade duration is determined by your transition length though, so if you're using a Cut (which is instant) there will be no fade.
There is currently no way to have a 'crossfade tail' so the origin scene's audio will continue to play for a bit after the transition though.

About the only difference on this is if you're using a Stinger, at which point the audio behavior can be set in the stinger's Transition Properties, same place as the transition point and other necessary options.

I am not experiencing a cross fade in the audio between scenes, and I have very long transitions set up to experiment. It's actually so abrupt that it clicks and pops due to the audio having to suddenly start or stop.

Keep in mind, I am using "Monitor Only (Mute Output)" for this audio file. In my setup, I need the audio to come out of OBS to my audio workstation, then back in through the workstation. It was told to me by a friend that OBS does not fade audio when configured this way...

Alternately, is there a way to just manually set the fade in fade out for the audio, separate of the stinger?
