Question / Help is i7 6700K ok for streaming?

Hi guys i am looking to upgrade my old PC which is i7 2600k and 670 gtx 2gb mainly because of the GPU.

I want to ask if i get any performance boost to upgrading to skylake i7 6700K and i am going to pair it with GTX 1080.

Is anyone here with i7 6700K who can tell me their experience streaming with this CPU? And what settings do they stream on?
