If you are using Game Capture to capture a video that is being played back on a program like VLC, and you minimize VLC, I would think that it would stop capturing the video...is that what you are wondering? Or are you wondering if the GPU is still being utilized at all from the capture even though nothing is actually being successfully captured?

Game capture works fine when minimized with MPC, but yes; is CPU is still being utilized even when the video is not being shown on the desktop screen?

Unsure, you should be able to check this with GPUZ though. Look at the game when it's minimized normally, compare it to what you see for GPU load, then compare it when OBS is running.
