Is Blackmaic Decklink 8k Pro compatible yet?

Just wondering if it can be used with OBS already. Can you confirm if inputs and outputs are working with OBS?

Provided you're using Blackmagic's Desktop Video software with a version of 11.6 or newer, Blackmagic Decklink and Ultrastudio devices will work with OBS' "Blackmagic Device" source type.

Thank you for your quick reply. I know, just wanted to hear a real user voice of that card, if there is one on this forum.

As of right now, I know of none with that specific model, HOWEVER, given blackmagic design's history on the decklink and ultrastudio model lines, you should have no problems getting it working with obs provided your version of the desktop video software is as specified above.

I personally own a Decklink Duo2 and a Desktop Studio 4k, both "just work".

I am currently working with an integration project with OBS and Decklink 8K card and am experiencing reference issues trying to provide key/fill to a Ross switcher. The Decklink card functions correctly with Vmix but not with OBS. Video image is rolling vertically. Not sure if anyone is experiencing this same issue?

I can vouch for this working. Use the DeckLink DeskTop Video software (drivers and configuration tool) and OBS will recognize the 8k Pro SDI inputs as a "Blackmagic Device" HOWEVER you have to have something connected to the card inputs. Trying to pre-configure a computer before setting it up with cameras is a losing battle (ask me how I know...)

I presume that the outputs would also work, but haven't tested it.

The one thing to remember (and this is a Blackmagic hardware thing, not an OBS thing) is that if you are intending to use the HDMI capture on the mezzanine card (daughter card that attaches to the main card) you lose the SDI 1 input.

I've been looking at BM Micro 4K Cams for use with OBS (input only) but those dont output 4k60 via HDMI. They do output 12G SDI though. Do you think I can use 2 of those cams in OBS via a BM 8K Pro simultaneously at 4k60?
