When my game transitions from 240->480i, the 480i signal has many dropped frames, without any deinterlacing being applied (disabled in OBS and the driver). I quickly tested in AmarecTV 3.10 by previewing the USB3HDCAP and it does not have this problem.

You can see an example here, the gameplay section is 240p and has a solid framerate, the results and credits roll are 480i and animate jerkily (especially obvious in the credits roll).

Hi Dan! Did you ever get this solved? I got a STARTECH USB3HDCAP recently and am having this exact same problem with the PSX games I tried it with (Rockman X3 = HORRIBLE, Megaman 8, Megaman X4) via composite (RCA) cables… Noticeable delay or dropped frames. My rig is an i7 4770, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070, Windows 10, so that shouldn't be a problem. I also use "Fullscreen Projector (Source): Display 0 (or 1 if I plug a second monitor)." and that Works well with my PS4 via HDMI but not with my PSX outputting 480i via composite (YELLOW, RED AND WHITE cables) because there's these dropped frames or noticeable lag.

I hope you read this "necroed" thread soon… Help from anyone is also highly appreciated.

Old post but sorry no I didn't ever see a fix for this. Previously I was using AMAREC to work around the issue, now I'm using scalers.
